ATS Club

Build and code robots to explore engineering, problem-solving, and creative tech skills.

Get Started

Overview

Our Robotics program combines creativity, engineering, and problem-solving as students bring machines to life through coding and construction. With hands-on challenges and interactive builds, kids learn how robots work—and how to make them move, think, and react.

Using age-appropriate robotics kits, students explore sensors, motors, gears, and logic as they design and program their own robotic creations. Whether it’s building a maze-navigating bot or a claw that picks up objects, students see their code in action and learn the power of perseverance.

Along the way, they gain real-world STEM skills, boost teamwork, and develop a deep understanding of how technology shapes the world around us.

Robotics develops problem-solving and teamwork skills by challenging kids to design, build, and program real working machines.

What kids learn

  • The fundamentals of robotics: sensors, motors, and movement
  • How to build simple machines using gears, pulleys, and linkages
  • Basic coding skills for programming robot behavior and tasks
  • The engineering design process: plan, build, test, and iterate
  • Real-world applications of robotics in industries like medicine, manufacturing, and space

Hands-on projects

  • Building robots that follow lines, avoid obstacles, or complete a challenge course
  • Programming robotic arms or claws to lift and move small objects
  • Designing creative robots that combine form and function
  • Experimenting with sensors and inputs to control movement and decisions
  • Debugging and refining programs to improve robot performance
This was my son’s first time in an after school program, and he loved the robotics club. The instructors at All Things Science were so kind and encouraging. It really made a difference for him.

Key benefits

  • Teaches coding, engineering, and mechanical design in a fun, hands-on way
  • Encourages problem-solving and critical thinking through trial and error
  • Helps students connect STEM to real-world technology and innovation
  • Builds collaboration and communication skills through team-based projects
  • Gives kids a strong foundation for future learning in robotics and tech

Getting started

Bring engineering to life with our Robotics program—where students dream up, build, and program their very own robots. Whether solving real challenges or competing in robot obstacle courses, kids gain skills they can carry into any STEM field. It’s a fun and inspiring entry point into the world of automation and intelligent machines.
