ATS Club

Investigate life cycles, habitats, and biodiversity through hands-on nature-based activities.

Get Started

Overview

Our Life Science program invites students to explore the living world through engaging experiments, close observation, and interactive activities. From the tiniest microorganisms to the vast complexity of ecosystems, kids discover what it means to be alive—and how all living things are connected.

With a focus on the structure, function, and classification of life, students learn how organisms survive, grow, and adapt to their environments. They ask questions, test hypotheses, and develop a deep respect for the natural world.

Along the way, they build inquiry skills, scientific vocabulary, and an understanding of how life operates on every level.

Life science gives students a deeper appreciation for the natural world by exploring ecosystems, habitats, and life cycles.

What kids learn

  • The characteristics of living things and how they differ from non-living things
  • The building blocks of life: cells, tissues, organs, and body systems
  • How to observe and classify organisms by traits and adaptations
  • Life cycles of plants, animals, and other organisms
  • Interdependence in ecosystems and how environments support life

Hands-on projects

  • Observing live plants or insects and recording changes over time
  • Building life cycle wheels for butterflies, frogs, or other organisms
  • Modeling cells and identifying their key parts and functions
  • Investigating how different environments affect plant growth
  • Sorting organisms into kingdoms, species, and other scientific classifications
Our daughter is fascinated by life cycles and how different insects behave. That’s been her favorite part of the class.

Key benefits

  • Builds a strong foundation in biology and life sciences
  • Encourages close observation and evidence-based thinking
  • Helps students connect classroom science to nature and real-life systems
  • Develops fine motor skills and scientific vocabulary
  • Gives kids a sense of wonder about the diversity of life around them

Getting started

Jump into the world of living things with our Life Science program. Whether students are exploring how plants grow or learning about animal adaptations, each week brings a new opportunity to observe, experiment, and understand the incredible systems that make life possible. Perfect for curious young scientists who love nature and discovery.
